Two Euromed Youth Units were present in Braga last week. The Tunisian and Palestinian Authority representatives of the Units have enthusiastically presented and represented the youth and the Euromed Youth program trend in their countries at the INVESTING IN YOUTH seminar.
The opening of this event hosted 57 people from EU and MEDA countries officially received in a beautiful room by the Mayor of one of the youngest cities in Europe.
INVESTING IN YOUTH is an integral part of Braga, European Capital of Youth 2012. Next year, Braga will be the centre of European youth, replacing this time’s EYC Torino and Antwerp in 2011.
The seminar was the first step of youth-related cultural, social, political and economic events that, the chosen city by the European Youth Forum, will have the opportunity to showcase during the coming year.
INVESTING IN YOUTH focused on the further topics in relation with the Youth Policies development in EU and in Meda Countries:
- Civil Society
- Situation of Youth - Our societies and Youth - Youth into the society
These topics have been the "key area" of discussion among participants well summarized in the Resolution document.
